About the Role

GameOn Café is looking for a hardworking, responsible, and enthusiastic Commis 2 / Commis 3 Chef to manage daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling all kitchen tasks, from basic chopping and ingredient preparation to cooking, plating, serving, and maintaining cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily vegetable chopping, cutting, and ingredient preparation.

• Prepare and organize mise en place before service.

• Prepare and cook café menu items such as sandwiches, burgers, pasta, fries, wraps, Maggi, salads, and other snacks.

• Prepare beverages, including coffee, shakes, and other café drinks, 

• Ensure food is prepared according to the café's recipes, quality standards, and portion sizes.

• Manage food plating, packing, and timely serving of orders.

• Maintain proper food storage, stock rotation, and ingredient freshness.

• Keep the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, counters, and workstations clean and organized.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards throughout the shift.

• Assist with inventory checks and inform the manager about low-stock ingredients.

• Coordinate with the café team to ensure smooth and timely order service.

• Complete opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned.

• Be flexible to work across two shifts, with a total of 10 working hours per day, according to the agreed schedule.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis 2, Commis 3, café chef, or kitchen helper with cooking skills is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of chopping, food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene.

• Ability to prepare café-style snacks and follow recipes.

• Willingness to handle all kitchen responsibilities, including cleaning and dishwashing when required.

• Punctual, disciplined, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
