We are looking for a passionate and experienced South Indian Chef / Dosa Master who can lead our South Indian kitchen with authenticity, speed, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic South Indian dishes including:
- Plain, Butter, Masala, Mysore & Cheese Dosa
- Rava Dosa
- Set Dosa
- Idli
- Medu Vada
- Uttapam
- Pongal
- Upma
- Filter Coffee
- Prepare and maintain high-quality dosa batter with proper fermentation.
- Prepare fresh sambar, coconut chutney, tomato chutney, peanut chutney, mint chutney and other accompaniments.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Operate dosa tawa efficiently during peak service with minimal waiting time.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with FSSAI food safety standards.
- Control food cost, reduce wastage, and manage inventory.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare daily requisitions.
- Train junior kitchen staff and maintain kitchen discipline.
- Assist in developing new South Indian menu items and seasonal specials.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a South Indian Chef or Dosa Master.
- Strong expertise in batter preparation, fermentation, and tawa operations.
- Hands-on experience in high-volume breakfast or South Indian restaurants.
- Knowledge of authentic South Indian flavours and regional recipes.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
- Positive attitude with strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to relocate to Himachal Pradesh.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in live dosa counters.
- Experience with café or hospitality brands.
- Knowledge of food costing and inventory management.
- Ability to standardize recipes and maintain consistency across batches.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month (Based on experience)
